How has the Chamber and the Ambassador Program helped you or your business to grow?
It’s really helped me meet and network with other businesses in the area. It’s also helped me come out of the comfort zone and get involved in social events that help me build a network of people that I wouldn’t have otherwise known. I didn’t join looking for direct clientele, but to meet new business owners and begin to develop relationships with them. This is key to growing a business and getting involved with members of your community.
Why is it important to employees to get involved in the Visalia Chamber programs and events?
Your relationships with businesses are the best thing you can do for the reputation and growth of your business. It helps you give back to the community while also establishing your company as respectable, caring, and involved.
The best part of working for your company is?
I work really hard to provide a valuable service to my clients. I also believe that the relationship you foster with an employee has a huge impact on the quality of services they provide to your customers. While I don’t currently employ others at this time, I know things like flexibility, greater control of where and how I work, and emphasis on work/life balance were essential to me as an employee in the past. These were the reasons I set out to work for myself and these are the key points I will keep in mind as I look to hire in the future.
Where is your favorite place to go in Visalia with friends and family?
I really enjoy dining out with my family, so we frequent local eateries often. As a mother and homeschooler in the area, we also spend much of our time at child oriented locations such as the Imagine U Museum, indoor playground, and many of the local outdoor park and rec areas.
