Now Recruiting for the 2024-2025 #LEAD Program

[Tulare County, CA] - The Community Services Employment Training (CSET) Youth Workforce Department is recruiting for the #LEAD (Leading, Educating, Advocating, and Dedication) program. #LEAD is a leadership and college/career readiness program for high school juniors and seniors in Cutler-Orosi, Dinuba, Porterville, Tulare, and Visalia.

By participating in the #LEAD program, local youth gain access to employment opportunities, college readiness courses, peer support, and dedicated mentors from various professions. Through bi-weekly sessions facilitated by CSET staff and guest speakers, students will learn about time management, mental health, healthy relationships, study habits, financial literacy, résumé building, and more. Students engage in volunteer service projects and embark on multiple field trips throughout the school year to further their cultural & educational exposure.

“We are extremely excited to recruit for our twelfth cohort of #LEAD youth participants! This is a great opportunity for local youth to learn valuable skills they will utilize at school and in their careers,” stated Matthew Glasgow, #LEAD Coordinator. “Our youth leaders will engage in team-building activities, networking, job readiness training, and more to help them fully realize their leadership abilities.”

To apply, those interested must complete an online application at www.cset.org/lead by September 29, 2024. Candidates must be a high school junior or senior in Tulare County to apply. Those who submit an application will be invited to a small group meet and greet the first week of October 2024.
